Milan House is situated in rural upstate New York. Designed to reflect the rural vernacular aesthetic of the area, an agricultural exterior is contrasted against a refined and luxurious interior to create a sophisticated and calm retreat. 

For this project, we took an editorial approach to build layers of realism to the project storytelling. Careful consideration of props, lighting, and interior design bolstered by a comprehensive interior design project by the client, led us to focus in on the small details that give us a human connection to a space.

Many of the furniture pieces chosen by the client were antique and or one-offs, and were custom modeled by our studio from photo-references.
