NRML was founded by Richard John Seymour in 2019.

Richard is a photographer, BAFTA-nominated film maker, artist and architect.

After being awarded a scholarship to study at the Architectural Association in London, he began to explore image-making as a spatial practice in itself, going on to work at Mir in Norway after placements at Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen, and Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin.

He has spent the last 15 years telling stories about architecture and the built environment in various forms, working across media to explore, experiment, and revel in the wonders and perils of the designed world.

He founded NRML to help architects and designers project positive visions of the future, and to help them share unbuilt visions with a wider audience in a more meaningful way.

Richard takes a creative directorial approach to each project, working with a small team to tailor the visual aesthetic of each project to its respective design and project requirements.

NRML have worked with the world’s leading architects and developers, including Zaha Hadid Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group, Snohetta, Not a Hotel, Related, and more.
